Pulpal Therapy
After a procedure, you may be asked to do pulpal therapy. This is typically asked of a patient when your tooth has been through a lot of trauma and we are attempting to keep the swelling down in the pulp of the tooth. While it may have the effect of helping with pain, the real goal of this therapeutic practice is to give your tooth the best possible chance from dying and needing a root canal down the road.
- Take 2 Advil (Motrin, Ibuprofen, etc.) 200mg every 6 hours for 4-5 days.
